I wanted to create an outlet where I can be a positive influence in a broader sense. By combining what I do with 757 Uplifters with RJ’s World Lens, my aim is to hopefully have something special! While the RJ’s World Lens podcast will undoubtedly be flexible and cover a great many things (maybe including some memes that came out), I take a great interest in discussing the following topics:

  • Hardships and potential strategies to overcome
  • My life experiences (and how they may help others)
  • Strategies that may prove helpful, outside of hardships

The quote at the top, from Arvee Robinson, is one of the many reasons I ultimately decided to not only start this website but also make a more dedicated space for RJ’s World Lens, as well as 757 Uplifters. Throughout the years, I’ve done public speaking, community organizing, leadership, and have been told by “loving critics” that I have given so much advice over the years, and I should be a life coach or something.

While I’m not sure if I should be a coach, I have given a LOT of advice to different people over the years, utilizing strong listening skills and good people skills that have continued to grow over the years. I also got told that I should do radio and have a voice for it.

Lots of things in life are subjective, of course, but I did take the feedback I have gotten over the years to heart, and because of that, RJ’s World Lens has finally been created. In a general sense, RJ’s World Lens is a podcast where you can see how I see life and the world in a way that I hope brings insight, self-reflection, and/or something positive to your OWN world lens!

This website will have podcast episodes linked to posts and numerous episodes have already been recorded! The RSS feed and other things will be established when the podcast episodes start going live, but it was important to create a “home” for the episodes and establish myself through more than just a Spotify presence.

After listening to some of my favorite podcasts, like DIY Money and Hindzsight, I want to create a wealth of content that I wish “younger me” would have had! I’m sure it existed, but I’ll work today to put my own voice on things. It’s never too late to reflect, grow, and become one’s best self, and I tend to say that we are all lifelong learners! Follow me on Spotify and the like and let’s embark on the journey of self-discovery together!
